What to look for
A credential should be attributed to the individual who holds it when the issuing organization treats the credential as individual. The issuing organization and verification source should be recorded.
What to document
Certification, membership, manufacturer training, continuing education and field experience are valuable but different signals. VerifySweep should not convert one category into another or imply that one logo proves every employee is qualified.
How to use it
Expired, unverifiable or disputed claims should be labeled according to what can actually be established. Absence from a directory should prompt further verification rather than an automatic accusation of fraud.
Independent sources
Credential and platform-policy claims should be checked against the issuing organization or platform. VerifySweep encourages direct verification rather than relying on a logo, advertisement or third-party claim.
